What is STEAM?
STEAM, an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics, expands upon the traditional STEM fields by incorporating Art. In essence, it's STEM plus Art, specifically designed for preschool-age children.
How will Storybook Preschool Daycare’s STEAM program impact my child?
1. Rapid Sight Word Acquisition: Our students typically master sight words within a year and a half, with an average reading age of just 4 years old.
2. Cultivating Curiosity: Through hands-on, creative problem-solving activities, we ignite a genuine interest in learning.
3. Encouraging Innovation: Our program inspires children to think expansively and creatively about the world around them.
4. Alphabet Proficiency: Children learn letter recognition and phonics, laying a solid foundation for reading.
5. Mathematical Skills: Basic numeracy skills are developed, with some students progressing to more complex math concepts.
6. Numeracy Milestones: Counting to 100 becomes second nature for our students.
7. Daily Science Projects: Children are exposed to engaging science experiments on a regular basis.
8. Weekly Technological Exploration: We incorporate technology into our curriculum to familiarize children with its concepts.
9. Artistic Expression: Daily art projects not only foster creativity but also encourage social interaction.
